The story behind the birth of "Kurashikiroku"

chance

When I was in college, a senior told me that I could take notes using an iPad and Apple Pencil.

I had always been curious about it, but when I saw it in person, I was surprised at how useful it was.

I worked hard at part-time jobs to save up money and bought an iPad and Apple Pencil set.

At first, I didn't know how to use it, so I searched YouTube for ways to use the iPad.

However, I was only able to use it a little when studying, and I began to feel that I wouldn't be able to use it as well as I had initially hoped.

My first encounter with digital stationery

One day, an article changed everything.

I came across an article about "iPad Duck" that introduced a travel record using an iPad, and I thought to myself, "This is it!"

Here is the actual article I read.

> Deco also goes digital!? The iPad dummy that's popular in Korea is too cute

After that, I started making my own digital stationery and became obsessed with the joy of keeping records on my iPad. Here is the notebook I actually made.

I also discovered that digital sticky notes and digital stamps were not just hobby items, but could also be used for business, which helped me earn some extra cash during my time at university.

A Temporary Farewell

After entering the workforce, my days as an engineer became extremely busy.

To keep up with the work, I had to study, which took me away from making digital stationery.

We set off again, but...

Once I got used to the job, I was drawn back to its charm.

I started my own shop and tried my hand at new things like digital planners.

The response was great, and it even gave me the dream of making the store even bigger!

However, creating a digital planner often requires repeating the same tasks, which wasn't suitable for me as I'm not good at simple tasks.

My dream of making the store bigger gradually took the fun out of me, and I became exhausted from chasing sales and social media.

One day, I came across the phrase, "If it's not fun, you won't keep it up," and decided to change direction. I put my focus back on the fun of recording itself.

turning point

This change was accelerated by a sudden incident.

One day, my boss at work told me about a certain programming language, and it occurred to me that I could use it to take notes.

In fact, we developed a system that creates reading notes using code.

It's a language I've never come into contact with before, so there are many things I've never experienced before.

There were many challenges, but the sense of accomplishment when it was completed was great.

I like using my brain and writing code, so maybe this will be a fun way to start a shop again! I saw hope.

Fresh start

He opened a shop called "Kurashikiroku" with the desire to increase the number of people who enjoy "recording."

I began to want to share the joy of recording my life with more people.

I enjoy the process of recording my life and I'm enjoying creating the digital notebook that supports it just as much!
